How to Re-Issue eConsent from Encompass

If a borrower did not complete their original eConsent request or needs a new invitation sent, Encompass allows users to quickly re-issue the request directly from the loan file. Re-issuing eConsent helps keep the loan process moving without creating duplicate requests or restarting the workflow

When to Re-Issue eConsent

You may need to re-issue eConsent when:

  • The borrower did not receive the original email
  • The original link expired
  • The borrower accidentally deleted the email
  • The borrower did not complete the consent process
  • The borrower phone number changed after the original eConsent was captured

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Loan File

Log into Encompass and open the appropriate borrower loan file.

Step 2: Navigate to the Borrower Needs List

Within the loan file, navigate to the Borrower Needs List section.

This area displays:

  • Requested documents
  • Outstanding borrower tasks
  • eConsent-related requests and statuses

Step 3: Locate the eConsent Request

Find the existing eConsent request associated with the borrower.

Review the current status to confirm the request needs to be resent.

Step 4: Re-Issue the Request

Select the option to re-issue or resend the eConsent request.

Once selected:

  • A new eConsent email is generated
  • The borrower receives an updated notification
  • The borrower can reopen and complete the consent process

Step 5: Verify the Status

After re-issuing the request:

  • Confirm the request status updates successfully
  • Verify there are no errors or pending actions
  • Notify the borrower to check their inbox for the updated request
