How to Control Who Can Generate Letters in QuickQual

Learn how you can manage who has access to generate pre-qualification and pre-approval letters using the QuickQual calculator. This feature empowers you to maintain control over the issuance of these critical documents.

Step 1: Accessing Letter Generation Settings:

• Navigate to Step 3 of the desired QuickQual.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you'll find the "Create Letters" section:

  • By default, this function allows both borrowers and agents to create letters. This setting is suitable for scenarios where you trust the boundaries set within your file and are comfortable with borrowers and agents generating letters.

Step 2: Changing and Restricting Access:

• If you decide to restrict who can generate letters, click on the box and choose from the available options:
  • Only Allow Agents and Yourself
  • Only Allow Borrowers and Yourself
  • Only Allow Yourself

Step 3: Experience from the Borrower's Perspective:

• After saving your settings, feel free simulate the borrower's experience by accessing the QuickQual calculator from their perspective.
• You'll see that the "Request Pre-Approval" button replaces the option to generate a pre-qualification or pre-approval letter. This prompts borrowers to reach out directly to you, the loan officer, for letter requests:

    • The "Request Pre-Approval" button will only appear if borrowers are within the specified boundaries.
• Besides letter generation, the functionality remains unaffected. For example, if borrowers or agents attempt to input scenarios beyond their qualification boundaries, the calculator will inform them if their payments are too high.
